About the Exhibition

The more we say about Rind and his work, the less it is… in all his previous exhibitions, we have read about his broad strokes, his use of vibrant colors, relationship that he builds between his soul, his painting and the poetry that he loves, we have not talked about the man himself, who is the creator of this wonderful art that adorns so many spaces, not just in Pakistan but around the world. He is not just adored by Pakistanis but by international art lovers in general… Rind said once “I want to leave a legacy through my work as someone who provoked conversation and thought” and I say he is already a legend and his work speaks for his bold and complex thoughts that makes us (as audiences) honor and appreciate the depth of his work and his expressions…

Through “Poetic Palette” Rind continues to express his incredible artistic energy. His bold and brave expression style is evident in the colors and the poetry he has used to express his thoughts. This exhibition truly projects the freedom with which he approaches his work and the rush that he feels when he picks up his brush to translate his thoughts into the magnificent artwork that he has produced. The Urdu words that represent the poetry in his paintings are not just words, these serve as motifs that decorate the paintings and create additional meanings for the audience. He uses other symbols like fish, leaves, musical instruments, moon etc. that create a mystery in his paintings. Rind believes all these symbols have different meanings, interpretations and significance for different people. Similarly these carry special meanings for him which are for him to know and us to ponder over…

In summary, every individual small piece of work that together make a painting, from the colors he uses to the symbols, create a collage of his thoughts which make Rind, Rind!
