BIOGRAPHY

I am Sara Muzamil and I was born on January 13 th, 1998 in Newcastle, England I started my early education in England and then later moved to Jamshoro with my family and completed my education there In 2017 I joined the Center of Excellence in Art and Design, Jamshoro to earn a bachelor s degree in Fine Arts There I chose painting as my major and had the opportunity to learn various forms of visual arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, miniature painting and ceramics I consider myself privileged as I got a chance to learn from a few well-known Pakistani artists such as Sir Malik Channa and Sir Ali Abbas I am inspired from Jackson Pollock, an American painter He is also a major figure in the abstract expressionist movement Jackson Pollocks work was based on the dripping technique.

Artist Statement

My work portrays my real-life story I have included all the emotions I have felt in my life until now in a single painting These mixed emotions are emotions of sadness and happiness the happiness and sense of success I felt when I completed my education, positive emotions related to my marriage, grief that is associated with my mother’s death and the joy I felt

when I gave birth to my two beautiful sons Even though these emotions may be personal, I feel the audience will be able to relate to them as these are emotions felt by everyone at some stage of their life.
