and achievement Done on a handmade paper with qalam (reed pen), ink and coloured pigments, each work has a unique character comprising of Quranic text intertwined with decorative motifs Our current work
showcases the metaphorical properties and conceptual features of a circle as it is one of the most significant forms in Islamic ornamentation which ymbolizes the magnificence and infinite nature of the Divine
The gold encircling the text represents the light radiating from Allah’s words while floral motifs giving a sense of felicity and peace This small effort of ours aims to cultivate understanding of Islamic traditions and to
shed light on the traditional style of Calligraphy and Illumination that flourished for centuries
