Whether I was awake of it or not, otherness has been at the midpoint of my consciousness since the beginning of my artistic career. My early ideas of work were shaped by and linked through paintings of renaissance artists and photographs in magazines. Those images were mythical, heroic, beautiful, and powerful and embodied a particular status that was not afforded equally to anyone I knew. My art practice takes on social commentary on a beauty. As we seen there are always comments made on the appearance and beauty of women. But we never tried to know what the problems and difficulties they are facing in stereotype society. Wading through my work, you will see meanings through multiple layers, and symbols. My process combines manipulated images with painted details to create hybrid figures. These figures take the form of young girls.
